Election bingo

Exactly how many cliches will our American friends be putting up with over the next 48 hours?

I would say it's way too early to tell. While the polls show Obama will win, you never know what people will do when they get into the ballot box. One last minute poll shows McCain is gaining momentum.

What we do know for sure, this is the most important election ever. We're expecting a strong voter turnout. Interest is unprecedented. There's still a long way to go in this race. I've never believed in polls. The only poll that matters is the one in the ballot box.

The battleground states will be crucial. Key precincts have not yet reported. He's running a grassroots campaign and his record on the issues is clear. The voters are tired of negative campaigning.

This state is too close to call. No, I'd say it's a clear win to our side.

He's not ready to concede defeat just yet. I've called the Senator and offered my congratulations. That was a very gracious concession speech. The people have spoken.

It's obviously a jubilant atmosphere here at party headquarters. We're ready to go to Washington and get to work for the American people. Finally, I'd like to thank my wife and family who have stood by me every step of the way.

The people have made a strong statement about the environment. But it was the economy, stupid.
